HERE BE SPOILERS

Emma's EXP: 6/130

Manny’s First Day

  • +1 to Science (originally 2) from further experiments with awkward planting arrangements of medicinal value cannabis sativa.

Let’s Go to the Movies!

  • +2 to Courage (originally 1) from resisting the temptations of Odyn.

Family Home Evening

  • +1 to the relationship with George Fillburn (originally 0); she genuinely appreciates it when he gets worried about her, no matter how often it ends with her yelling at him about something or the rather.

Emma’s Birthday

  • +1 the relationship with Scott (originally 0); she sincerely worries about his safety and partially dotes on him when he’s in serious trouble--and he was: he fought Butch for her. On top of being worried as sin, she thought the gesture was sweet.
  • +1 to Shop (originally 0) from spending half the night weaponizing a hooded sweatshirt for Scott’s battle with Butch.

Urban Ninja: Enter the Fist

  • +1 to Connive (originally 3) from conniving the shit out of a lot of shit. She got them ungrounded early, coerced a man to give her $200 for grass seeds, and used her feminine wiles to distract a young skater boy from noticing George as he stole a guitar. She is progressively becoming capable of pulling some serious strings.
  • +1 to the relationship with George (originally 1); she’s done a lot for him, actually (like conniving the hell out of everything to make sure he gets what he wants, often regardless of how insane it may be; she even goes along with his conspiracy theories at times, too), and it was only recently that these efforts were (surprisingly) awarded with a sudden embrace--one she didn’t return, but was extremely tempted to, and sent for a whole fit of awkwardness after the fact.

This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things!

  • +2 to the relationship with Scott (originally 1); where George abandoned her in her time of extreme duress, Scott was there to willingly hold her and tell her everything was going to be okay. She proceeded to cling to him and sob for nearly an hour. She appreciates this more than Scott may ever know. George, on the other hand . . .

Wherein Mrs. Frieda is Called Fat

  • None. Emma pretty much slept through this whole thing.

Spiderqueen and the Quest for a Better Watch

  • +1 to the relationship with Scott (originally 3); while everyone else has essentially ignored Emma during her fit of depression (she blames herself for the death of the night watchman), Scott has stuck by her side, let her chill out on his bed and read with him, and has been all around sweet to her. She’s really started to cling to him, even hung out in his bed (on the other side of his bed, of course) and quietly read books with him all day.

Shit Went Down on Friday

  • None. She pretty much woke up, got ready to make a fake drug deal, got knocked the hell out, and was subsequently kidnapped.

Biting the Bullet

  • +1 to the relationship with Scott (originally 4); he, along with Manny and Odyn, saved her from a horrible fate. He unbound her, held her, and helped her to safety. This event ended with her in Scott's arms. She will never forget this. If they hadn't just witnessed a small nuclear explosion, she would have quietly walked home with Scott, hand-in-hand.
  • +1 to the relationship with Manny (originally 0); alongside Scott and Odyn, Manny bravely burst into an "abandoned" building to save Emma. Manny is now one of few people in the world that has gone out of his way to save her.

Chaos after the Bomb

  • +2 to P.E. (originally 0); she did a HELL of a lot of running around during all this madness, most of which was spent helping to carry someone (Manny) . . . or having to carry someone solo (Scott).
  • +1 to Wind (originally 1); if there was one thing Emma gained from doing all that running around, it was cardiovascular exercise.

Camp LaFey

  • +1 to the relationship with George (originally 2); they did some serious bonding at the park now that George has effectively redeemed himself in Emma's eyes--thanks to Jingles's help. George and Emma's relationship is a bit awkward now, especially with his apprehensions about her closeness with Scott . . .

Wherein the Gang Goes Shopping

  • None. They all just pretty much went out for a day on the town, no big deal. It was fun, though!

Inception

  • Nothing gained. It was a good day! She went on a date with Scott and it was awesome!

Ghost Stories

  • +1 to the relationship with George. Emma spent a lot of time talking with George and even listened to some of the songs he wrote. They were pretty good. Whatever girl they're about should count herself lucky.
  • +2 to charm (originally 0). Emma's a pretty good flirt, y'know. She does it enough (albeit passively and without intent) that she's gotten kind of decent.

The Love Song of Dash Princely

  • +1 to Notice (originally 2). So many details. So many classes to possibly sign up for. So little time.

Operation Group Hug

  • +1 to Out-Think (originally 1); Emma lectured Nele about female anatomy. Hilarity ensued. Fortunately, this was entirely off screen.
  • +1 to Science (originally 3). See above.

Mallrats

  • +1 to Out-Think (originally 2); Darren's a really cool guy. Also he told her that cursing regularly sort of makes her look immature. She's now trying to fix that. So. Hard.

A Pack of Wild Dogs

  • +1 to the relationship with George (originally 4); George . . . he almost went crazy when a man threatened to kill her. Emma had to level with him completely to help him, not hiding her scars (to not hide her imperfections, either), embraced him, and tried to hold him until he stopped crying. She . . . she wants only the best for him. She wants him to be happy.

The Best Session Ever

  • +1 to the relationship with Manny (originally 1); with all this madness going on, Emma is becoming acutely aware that she just wants to hug all her boys, Manny included, until everything is rainbows and flowers again.

"I'm Gonna Get My Man"

  • +1 to the relationship with Nele (originally 0); Nele openly expressed a need to protect her when she was determined to go out in the middle of the night to look for George. This is a huge leap from him almost punching her in the face, and it is much appreciated.
  • +1 to Courage (originally 3). "Odyn, I will punt you off of this roof."

Recovering the Satellites

  • +1 to the relationship with Manny (originally 2); Manny almost went away, and the whole idea of that actually hurt Emma a little. She didn't realize until then just how much she'd actually miss Manny if he were gone.
  • +1 to Courage (originally 4). Odyn threatened her, and she called him out on it. He said he would hurt her and she told him to "fucking try it."
  • +1 to Out-Think (originally 3). "You think you're smart, Odyn? You think you've got brains on me? Try me. I. Dare. You."

The Lighter

  • Not much happened this session, not anything that'd increase any abilities/relationships. She was, however, kissed. That . . . that was extremely . . . "wh-- what . . . what do I . . .?"

One Thousand and Two Knives

  • +1 to the relationship with Nele (originally 1). When Emma needed a reliable person to come to 2nd & Oak with her, Nele practically volunteered. He stuck with her til the end, and did everything he could to ensure that Emma and the little girl they saved made it out okay. Nele no longer owes Emma his life. He's made up for all things he's ever done to annoy her.
  • +1 to Guts (originally 2); Emma charged into the broken pieces of her own soul, saved a little girl, and at the end of it all, put a beat down on one of the most terrifying monsters ever. No more needs to be said.
  • +3 to Put-Down (originally 0). In the end of it all, when Odyn made his appearance to them, Emma beat him with words alone. She demoralized a monster so badly that she was able to exert complete control over him.
  • +1 to Greeting (originally 2). She got her stabs on. Stabbed several things, even. Ineffectually, but a stab's a stab.
  • +1 to Wrestling (originally 0), gained from ripping Odyn out of a wall and maintaining complete physical control over him. Probably wouldn't work the same way against someone that wasn't a part of her, but it's the thought that counts.
  • Converted the relationship with Madness (5) to Odyn [Weird] (5). Odyn is gone. Without him, she has control over herself, and won't succumb to madness he's induced. Though he's gone, some remnants of him remain within her soul, at least until she's strong enough to fix the jagged and broken parts of her soul.

If Words Could Kill

  • +1 to the relationship with Julie (originally 0). They saved Julie. She's alive. She's okay. She's got a lot of recovering to do from here on out, but Emma has determined to be there for her the whole way.
  • +1 to Charm (originally 2). Emma's a man eater, apparently. Or she's done a lot of kissing. Either way, she apparently has something about her that makes her attractive to boys--not that she can understand it, of course.

If You Don't Eat Your Meat . . .

  • +1 to the relationship with Jingles (originally 0). Emma spent a lot of time with Jingles, better understanding her and helping her around school and the like. Honestly, Jingles is pretty cool.
  • +1 to Charm (originally 3). There's a guy in her class. Her homeroom teacher, to be exact. Emma wants to maybe talk to him for awhile, get some coffee or something, or at least be noticed more often than others in her class. She's trying out her "A game" for the first time in awhile.

. . . You Can't Have Any Pudding!

  • +1 to Face (originally 3). Despite her scars, Emma is getting good at playing the role of an innocent girl, a charmer, a manipulator, and even a dumb kid when she needs to. While she's not apt to play games like that with her friends (and never would, honestly), she's completely fine with manipulating the set pieces to go where she needs them to go.
  • +1 to Connive (originally 4). In games of manipulation, Hackman's got nothin' on her.
  • +1 to Out-Think (originally 4). See above, except in games of wit, Hackman also has nothin' on her.

You Can't Text on a Knife

  • +1 to Feet (originally 3). So much walking. All the walking. Emma walked so damn much. Fortunately, though, it was pretty fun.

Trashing and Crashing

  • +2 to Notice (originally 3). Spent a lot of time in a . . . uh, a junkyard. Looking for stuff. Turns out practice makes perfect and now she might be better at using her peepers.

I Hate Emoticons

  • +1 to the relationship with August (originally 0). With all her own personal issues swimming around in her head, Emma couldn't keep up with August's problems. It was selfish of her, and now she feels a bit bad about that. She'll be more attentive next time.

Substance Abuse

  • +1 to the relationship with Tim (originally 0). Turns out this kid's awesome. Now Emma wants to chill and be his friend.

Hoop 'n Stick Together

  • +4 to Remember (originally 0). "I want to be back there. I want it to be the way it was."

Bad Reception

  • +1 to Remember (originally 4). Whether or not it was successful, she had to frantically remember some things. A lot of things. Obscure things. Things about the 1800s French Revolution.

One Man Two Man Band

  • +1 to Science (originally 4). Emma beat a psychic in science trivia. This affirmed to her that she is the queen of all that is science.

Birds are Jerks

  • +1 to the relationship with Molly (originally 0). Well, they made up and moved on from their antagonizing way of dealing with one another. They even hugged.
  • +2 to Medicine (originally 0). Emma practiced medicine on some woodsprites. It was pretty intense, and it didn't go as well as she'd have otherwise hoped. Turns out scientific knowledge is impractical when dealing with hands on medicine. Emma might do some reading on this later.

Park Rangers are Jerks

  • +1 to the relationship with Molly (originally 1). Actually, they bonded a good bit. Just as Molly knows bad parts of Emma's life, and now Emma knows some bad parts of Molly's.
  • +1 to Charm (originally 4). Two things, really. Firstly, commanding a super soldier. Sure, the super soldier in particular is easy to command, but there's still something to be said about that. Simply put, Emma can get the right people to get the right things done. Secondly, well, Scott was in a lot of pain. Emma had to bring back old knowledge on how to be sweet enough to someone to keep their mind off of their pain.

Tim's Happy Afternoon

  • Nothin'.

Dogs of War

  • Nothin'.

Rehab

  • Nothin'.

Mother Monster

  • Nothin'.

Friends are Best

  • +1 to the relationship with Manny (originally 3). So, everyone forgave Manny for killing Scott, specifically because he got better, and the whole thing with Manny not really being himself there. Then . . . well, Emma started to understand where he came from. Understanding helps her become closer to someone.

Wherein the Kids Get a Break

  • -1 to Brains (originally 5) due to scars. The emotional trauma of torture has left her incapable of thinking straight. Paired with the belief that Scott and George have been equally tortured, she's incapable of thinking of anything else.
  • +5 to Preparedness (originally 0). She's been kidnapped one too many times. Never. Again. NEVER. AGAIN. This is the LAST time she leaves the house without being prepared. She will NEVER be unprepared outside the house EVER again.
  • +1 to Wrestling (originally 1). See above. NEVER. AGAIN. If she gets caught unawares, she is wriggling her way out, THEN stabbing them.

An Inflamation of the Kidnap

  • Nothin'. She got her hair cut. It is incredibly uncomfortable for her.

Frieda's Gaiden: Manny and Emma's Day Out

  • +1 to the relationship with Manny (originally 4). Their day out together strengthened their relationship to the point where she can now honestly call him one of her very best friends. Perhaps it would've been nice if they could've grown this close under better circumstances, but it doesn't matter. Emma's just happy she finally got to know him, and that she can finally discount any and all belief that he's a monster. Manny is a kid, just like her.

Something Something Blood Rhino

  • Nothin'. She was off-screen doing romantic things with Scott.

The Full Rugby

  • +2 to Put-Down (originally 3). Well . . . okay, she feels bad for having to do it, but that kid was a jerk. He was cheating, and he was going to do them some serious harm if she didn't step up. It's at least better than having to resort to more supernatural (re: worse) means.

What's in the Basement?

  • Nothin'.

Ghost Adventure

  • +1 to the relationship with Jingles (originally 1). Who helped Emma get through school? That girl. That. Girl. Heck yeah, Jingles. Heck. Yeah.

Bees That Way

  • +1 to the relationship with Jimmy (originally 0). Look, he's a cool guy, okay? If she weren't taken, she'd flirt with him. That said, she can do the next best thing: set him up with someone who is also pretty cool.
  • +1 to Wrestling (originally 2). Oh God tentacle monster. Why. Why why why why. She had to beat this damn thing away with a metal science device. Fitting, really.
  • +1 to Dodge (originally 2). See above. Dodging the hell away from mouth-equipped tentacles is not how she wants to spend her days.

The Reaper Cometh

  • Nothin'.

A Tale of Two Reapers

  • -2 to the relationship with George (originally 5). They've kind of split as friends recently, George going his own way and doing things, and Emma doing mostly the same. She doesn't know how to be as good of friends with him as she used to be--and quite honestly, she doesn't think she ever could.
  • -1 to the relationship with Science (originally 1). You can't live on science alone.
  • -1 to the relationship with August (originally 1). Who is . . . he . . . ?
  • +4 to the relationship with Faith [weird] (originally 0). Elder Dane told her that it was all a matter of faith, and to a larger extent, her faith was actually rewarded . . .
  • +1 to the relationship with Tim (originally 1). They hung out a good bit. Came to some good terms. Acknowledged that they both thought each other were pretty rad. Then Tim's family started to fall apart, and . . . well, she's going to want to hang out with him more often. Get him out of the house. He's a cool kid, and she doesn't want him going through hell.

Monster Mash

  • +1 to Wrestling (originally 3). Nele's been teaching her, Scott, and Molly how to defend themselves. How well this is really working, who knows, but Emma is feeling a lot more confident in her ability to flip an eagle boy if he has a pretend knife.
  • +1 to Punching (originally 0). See above. Emma also feels a little more confident in smacking a super soldier. Which is to say, she feels confident that she can maybe do it, then meet the floor with the back of her head.

Exams

  • Nothin'.

Shenanigans

  • +1 to the relationship with Julie (originally 1). Emma and Julie have both been getting better in their own ways. In fact, in mostly similar ways. Emma feels a stronger kinship with her, without a doubt.

Counterattack

  • +2 to the relationship with Eld (originally 0). He went into the fight with Hackman with her. Even tried to protect her. Even though he barely knows her. She feels incredibly close to him, now.
  • +1 to Face (originally 4). "I /am/ strong."
  • +1 to Brains (originally 4). The brains to take down Odyn. The brains to take down the last remnants of Odyn. The brains to solve problems mundane and supernatural alike. Emma is a problem solver. Amongst the best.

Speaking Your Mind

  • +1 to the relationship with Nele (originally 2). Look, he's a good guy, okay? Nele is one of Emma's better friends, someone she knows she can rely on in just about any pinch.
  • +1 to Guts (originally 3). Ran all around the city? Boyfriend died and got better? Things were on fire? There was a serial killer, he stabbed her in the chest, and she still kept going? After all that? Now that Emma thinks about it, a bit after the fact, she's got more guts than over half the people she knows. Well, not literally.

And Open It, Too

  • Nothin'.

Obligatory Christmas Special
