Emma's Relationships

Odyn

Although Odyn is gone, but part of him remains--some dark sector of her heart, where some fractured piece of Odyn remains. He as a person no longer exists in her heart, only a fraction of remaining power sits in her heart. Her old relationship with Odyn can be called upon for a power she never wanted: the power to believably tell any lie she wants. Emma isn't likely to call upon this power unless she absolutely has to.

SCIENCE

Emma has always valued science, so much that she habitually applies it to a number of things, often to things that cannot be science’d.

George

George is one of “Emma’s boys.” She’s very attached to him and unwilling to let him get into horrible trouble--but trying to control George is like trying to keep a raging fire contained. Emma and George are extremely close; earlier, they may very well have been an "item," considering their closeness. Now, with Scott and her "officially" dating, there's a bit of a wrench thrown into that. Recently, that wrench has become four times its original size. George kissed her. On the lips. Which wouldn't be such a problem if Emma didn't have some manner of feelings for him. Then that happened a few more times. The other drawback is that it feels extremely nice to her to kiss him. They had a bit of a fling (which was no doubt horrible and made her feel like the worst person ever). When that broke up, she started becoming distant from him. Then he saved her life. Now . . . now what . . . ?

Scott

Another one of “Emma’s boys.” Emma once doted on Scott like a wounded kitten meant to be protected, but when the tables were turned, Scott defended her to the very best of his abilities. Emma and Scott's relationship has progressed in a strange way, evolving into mutual dependency and then finally becoming an outright monogamous relationship. Scott is now Emma's boyfriend, and she honestly couldn't be happier about that. They managed to actually get through the love triangle between George, Scott, and herself, and her and Scott's bond is ultimately better for it.

Manny

The third and most recent of “Emma’s boys.” While he was previously not particularly close to Emma, the act of saving her life has indebted her to him. She has become attached to him, and genuinely cares whether he lives or dies. Recent events have proven that Emma seriously wants to take her boys, Manny included, and protect them. When it was threatened that Manny might go away from the home, when his uncle was offering to take him back, Emma was genuinely sad. She would miss him if he weren't with them. Later, he killed her boyfriend. Then her boyfriend got better. Then everyone forgave Manny, and she came to terms with some uncomfortable issues, forgave Manny and the like. There's still something weird between them, but she . . . oddly feels closer to him. Maybe because she knows his origins a bit better. He hurt a lot of people, even took the lives of several, but the fact remains that he isn't a monster. He feels regret for what all he's done, and will actively try to make up for it. Emma respects him for that, perhaps more than he might ever know. It's been a weird trip, but he's become one of her very best friends.

Nele

So, all right. He once tried to punch her in the face. That was probably before they got to know each other? Actually, Emma still doesn't know much about him. Whatever, he redeemed himself when he openly offered to protect her. In fact, he's outright made it a point to protect her at all costs.

August

Though Emma's known him for awhile (and though he's quite charming), they've never really had a lasting-- or, for lack of a better word, /important/ --relationship. At least until she found out that her negligence in helping him out actually hurt him. Now Emma feels a certain deal of obligation to him, wants to help him out if she can find a way.

Julie Williams

Once upon a time, Emma and Julie were friends. They were roommates, and Emma felt she could open up to Julie. When she did, though, it turned into a mess. For a long time, they were nothing; Emma hated Julie and Julie was disgusted by Emma. But then, when Julie was killed and Emma couldn't do a thing to save her, Emma felt like a piece of her died. Now that she's managed to save Julie from the grips of death, she's making it a point to help her recover, and hopefully take back all the bad blood they ever had between them.

Jingles

Initially, Emma didn't have much to do with Jingles. All she knew was that she was possibly (un)dead and snarky--the latter of which would've been good enough for Emma to start making friends with her, were it not for the snark being aimed towards her in the worst possible situations. Nonetheless, they "made up," in a way, or at least came to understand each other a little better, and going to school together has now sort of solidified the potential for their friendship.

Tim

This guy. THIS GUY. He fixed the air conditioner. And also he knows Shakespeare well. This is a guy she'd like to talk to and hang out. She might get some paper topics out of the deal.

Molly

So, this girl with ESP was kind of a jerk for awhile. Really, really grating for Emma. Insulting, really. But then they made up and were adult about things.
